Hannes Namberger

Biography

Hannes Namberger, born in 1989, began his sports career on two skis. Alpine racing was his home for many years. After he had to end his skiing career in 2011 due to an injury, he found his new passion in Trail Running. Today he is one of the world’s top athletes, known for his extreme endurance, mental strength and ambition. As part of the DYNAFIT team, he contributes his experience to the development of the DNA shoe line. His favorite: the Ultra DNA, with which he has already won many races. Hannes lives with his family in Ruhpolding – where his passion for the mountains began.

Biggest Dream: Running all 4 big 100 milers (Monuments), UTMB, WSER, HARDROCK100, Diagonale de Fous. When I retire from sport, I want to be able to say: 'That’s it! I want to have achieved everything that’s possible.

What inspires you: I want to get the best possible results from my body during the training phase, optimize it perfectly, and then give 100% on race day.

Favourite Summit: The Hörndlwand in Ruhpolding, I can see it from my living room.
