The snow leopard is not only Dynafit’s brand trademark; it is also an integral part of our philosophy and our products. Together with the Snow Leopard Trust we are actively committed to protecting this endangered animal. Everybody single person can contribute to this cause at the International Snow Leopard Day 2018 on March 3. Once again, it will be all about accumulating vertical meters for wildlife conservation.

How can you contribute to the protection of snow leopards?

At the 9th International Snow Leopard Day, the day will revolve around the motto “Speedup for the protection of snow leopards.” At this seventh, Europe-wide event, you have the opportunity to collect vertical meters on designated runs to help the endangered wild cats. Because for every vertical meter completed, we will donate one euro cent to the Snow Leopard Trust. In addition, you can also demo our newest equipment on this day.

Snow Leopard Day 2018 will take place at the following locations:

- Germany -- Unternberg, Ruhpolding
- Austria -- St. Johann in Tyrol
- Italy -- Piemont
- Poland -- Zawoja, Mosorny Groń
- Slovakia -- Trusalova, Mala Fatra

- Slovakia -- Sucany, Mala Fatra - March 4, 2018

1 million vertical meters -- Everybody can participate

Last year, 800 participants collected a total of   967,619 vertical meters. With that, nearly 10,000 euros were donated to the non-profit organization. This year, then, the goal is very clear: 1 million vertical meters on one day for a good cause!

The 2018 donation will go toward a community-based herder's program in Pakistan. With that program, the Snow Leopard Trust supports 200 herders and their families. They work for the protection of the snow leopard, which is still illegally hunted by locals.

Snow Leopard Trust

The Snow Leopard Trust is a non-profit organization that works for the protection of snow leopards. To that end, it is committed not only to the protection of the endangered big cats, but also to the support of the people who live in these regions. The organization runs projects in China, India, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Pakistan.

Blubird and springlike temperatures accompanied us at the Snow Leopard Day 2018 that took part in seven international locations. In Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Poland, Slovakia and Switzerland, 1,082 ski tourers sweat for the good cause. The participants covered a total of 1,096,234 vertical meters – that´s a new record! We round up and donate 11,000 euro to the non-profit Snow Leopard Trust organization. This year, the donation goes toward a community-based herder‘s program in Pakistan.

Thank you very much to all who made this day possible to collect vertical meters for the good cause.
