For long trail running workouts, I am often out in the mountains for four hours or more. Until now, rain always meant either putting off long running workouts or getting home completely soaked and freezing to the bone. In most rain jackets I have always sweat so much that I probably shouldn’t have even put it on in the first place. And then came the ShakeDry just for alpine runners:
* Guaranteed durably water- and windproof
* 2-layer construction -- Gore-Tex® Active Membrane is the outer layer -> Never gets soaked with water, always stays light and breathable, can be dried with a simple shake
* Extremely breathable --prevents the buildup of sweat under the jacket
* 150g light, minimal packsize -- fits in even the smallest of packs.
I always have the jacket in my pack, even when the sky is blue -- In the mountains, the weather can change in a flash. When wearing the jacket, you really only need to be aware of one thing: The thin, 2-layer fabric is not made to carry a pack over it. Abrasion could compromise the jacket’s membrane. But with Dynafit’s Zip Over development, you can pull our ShakeDry™ Jacket perfectly over the top of an ultrarunning pack -- Then of course your other clothes and gear stay dry too. You can see this in the photo, below.
