THIS AFFECTS THE FOLLOWING BINDINGS IN THE RADICAL SERIES:  RADICAL ST, RADICAL FT, RADICAL SPEED AND RADICAL RENTAL

DYNAFIT regularly carries out tests on its products to ensure maximum quality. In the course of a sequence of tests, we discovered a need for a technical upgrade to the bindings of the RADICAL series.
The following bindings may be affected:
RADICAL ST, RADICAL FT, RADICAL SPEED AND RADICAL RENTAL / TEST

This necessary technical upgrade concerns the pin which fixes the back jaws in ascent mode when turned to the left. This technical measure is not relevant to safety. The technical upgrade involves replacing this pin with one of new specifications, to 100% preclude the possibility of damage to the casing.  Damage can occur when the jaws are subject to forces in a very specific way which occurs only extremely rarely in practice. The probability of such damage is about 0.003%. Even in the unlikely event of such damage to the casing occurring, safety is not compromised, because  the binding will release perfectly at all DIN settings.

As a precautionary measure, we call on all users of the relevant RADICAL bindings to contact their retailer or  DYNAFIT  to have the bindings given a preventative inspection and have the necessary technical upgrade carried out. Our retailers have been informed and will be providing this solution from the first week of 2012. They will be able to quickly reduce the risk of such damage by 100% through a few skilled manual operations on the bindings.
