Almost 300 ski mountaineers took on the clock and their rivals on the 1,740-vertical-metre course, completing a host of uphill, downhill and carrying passages. Eventually, it was France who carried off the winners’ medals in both the Men’s and Women’s events. The World Cup race held on 25 March 2012 in Martell, Italy, still proved a real success for the DYNAFIT athletes Mireia Miró and Marc Pinsach. Mireia Miró finished second, just under 2 minutes behind her French rival Laetitia Roux. Her fellow compatriot and training partner Marc Pinsach took sixth place in the Men’s.
