Patrouille des Glaciers 2010

On 24/04/2010, two Dynafit teams were under starters' orders on the world-famous "Patrouille des Glacier" race from Zermatt to Verbier. The race covers a 53 km distance and involves a total of 3,994 metres of ascent. The almost 4,000 participants were faced with more than ten intermediate goals en route, such as Tête Blanche, Arolla, Col de Riedmatten and La Rosablanche. The first Dynafit team of Schorsch Nickaes, Sepp Willibald and Michi Hasenknopf set off from Zermatt at two am. A second Dynafit team with Benedikt Böhm, Javier Martin and Pete Swansen got the starting signal an hour later. After 7 hours, 4 minutes and 22 seconds, Beni, Javier and Pete reached their destination in Verbier together: A new German record! The first Dynafit team based around Schorsch Nickaes also achieved a super time of 8 hours and 36 minutes.
