Dynafit team sets a new record for the HAUTE ROUTE

Dynafit team members Laurent Fabre, Yann Gachet and Anthony Fraissard had eyed the record for some time. To complete the 160 kilometre route "Haute Route" from Chamonix, via the Walliser Alps as far as Zermatt, with an altitude difference of 8,400 metres, in less than 21 hours. (The record set by Brosse and Bonnel was 21 hours, 11 minutes).

The three sportsmen set off from Chamonix on April 6, 2010. By the time they reached the Otemma glacier, they were about twenty minutes behind schedule and so didn't stop for a break. Anthony Fraissard suffered from exhaustion and gave up early. Gachet and Fabre made up for lost time on the ascent. They reached Zermatt after 20 hours, 28 minutes and 5 seconds: a new record! Mountaineers normally schedule a total of 8 days for the "Haute Route".
